Chapter Three - 18 Heavyweight Dub Cuts From Brentford Road
The London archive diggers visited Clement "Sir Coxsone" Dodd's Studio One again and brought us 18 raw dub heavyweights, stripped down to bass and drums, all of which were recorded at 13 Brentford Road during the 1970s by the studio bands of the time.
These included The Sound Dimension, New Establishment, the Soul Defenders and the Brentford All-Stars. Reggae aficionados will of course know that these formations featured some of Jamaica's most talented and famous musicians, including Jackie Mittoo, Leroy Sibbles, Cedric Brooks and Freddie McGregor.
The effects and final mixes were the work of none other than The Dub Specialist aka Clement Dodd, Sylvan Morris and Scientist.
Double LP on 180-gram vinyl with download card.
