Description
Goo Goo Muck – A Tribute to The Cramps brings together 12 artists to celebrate the band’s wild collision of garage rock, rockabilly and horror-soaked rock ’n’ roll. Released by Cleopatra in 2023, this compilation puts fresh voices to songs firmly embedded in The Cramps’ universe.
Shooter Jennings tackles “Human Fly”, The Courettes take on “Bikini Girls With Machine Guns”, and Night Beats revisit “I Was a Teenage Werewolf”. Elsewhere, The Hillbilly Moon Explosion deliver “Primitive”, The Fuzztones tackle “Can Your Pussy Do the Dog?”, and Linda Gail Lewis joins Danny B. Harvey and Clem Burke for “The Way I Walk”.
From garage grit to psychobilly bite, the varied lineup makes this more than a straightforward nostalgia trip. A compelling addition for Cramps devotees and collectors following the featured bands, presented here as a limited-edition vinyl LP.
