Description
Benny Trokan, bassist for Spoon, Lee Fields' Expressions, Reigning Sound and The Jay Vons, releases his debut album via the Daptone sub-label Wick Records!
With 'Do You Still Think of Me?', his debut album for Wick Records, Trokan casually takes us through the entire spectrum of 60s-influenced music: from the moody teen beat bop ('Save a Place'), the garage sound of 'Nowhere to Be Found', to the 'sweet' soul sound of the title track. Throughout the entire album, it is the unique sound of Benny's raw, vulnerable lead vocals that carry us through this truly stunning collection of 'Modern Pop'. The wait was definitely worth it!
The album was produced by Gabriel Roth at the Daptone studio Penrose Recorders in Riverside, CA. In addition, Benny Trokan has also worked as a studio/live musician for various Daptone artists such as Jalen Ngonda, Lee Fields' Expressions and Charles Bradley's Extraordinaires.
Available in BLACK and limited, translucent ORANGE vinyl.
