Description
The Soul Vendors’ On Tour documents a distinctive chapter in Jamaican music: apart from “Pressure and Slide”, “You Trouble Me” and “Just a Bit O’Soul”, the tracks were recorded in England during the group’s 1967 tour.
Originally issued that year on the blue Coxsone label in the UK and the white-and-black Coxsone label in Jamaica, the album returns here as a 2026 vinyl reissue. Restored and remastered from the original recordings, this Coxsone Records edition (CD-LP 7019) brings the material back into focus.
For collectors exploring the connections between Jamaica and Britain, the recording history gives On Tour particular appeal. It captures the group recording away from home, rather than simply borrowing a touring theme for its title. Add this historically distinctive LP to your Coxsone collection without chasing an original pressing.
