Description
45 r.p.m. LP + Free CD of the album. The title of this compilation is something of a motto for Penny Records.
It's a phrase that actually dates back to the beatnik slang of the '50s and sums up the spirit of the selections found here, whose common theme, if there is one, seems to be nonsensical lyrics and odd obsessions.
Ranging from soul rocker's like J.J. Jackson's 1959 'Oo-Ma-Liddi', to the Ukelele playing Californian Nervous Norvus' 'Transfusion' (a huge smash hit in 1956), to the Queen of rockabilly, Wanda Jackson's 1961 'Funnel Of Love'.
There's even Elvis Presley's 'Do The Clam', from his teen beach party flick Girl Happy.
