The Archives from Washington DC, aka Eric Hilton (Thievery Corporation) and Darryl 'Trane' Burke, deliver a reggae tribute album to the great soul / jazz musician and poet Gil with "Carry Me Home" on Hilton's Montserrat House label Scott-Heron and his close cooperation partner Brian Jackson.
Numerous feature guests such as Puma Ptah, Raheem DeVaughn, Addis Pablo and Kenyatta Hill took part in this ambitious project, which of course includes classics such as "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" or "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" in different versions.
