Description
As a backing band, the Spanish vintage reggae septet Mighty Megatons completes two unfinished songs by ska legend Laurel Aitken from his studio archive.
The singer and musician Laurel Aitken, who died in 2005, was one of the most renowned and well-known representatives of Jamaican music and, together with Desmond Dekker, was one of the founders of ska. Laurel Aitken performed live until old age and continued to record new music, leaving behind a large archive of unfinished recordings and demos, two of which, "Shoeshine Boy" and "Woman A Go Mad Me" have now been carefully composed and finished in the studio by the Mighty Megatons, and the band played the new and completed tracks virtually under Aitken's vocal tracks on tape.
A surprise "re-release" from the genre hero!
