Description
Three years after their last release, Transilvanians come back with two new 7” singles as a celebration of the bands 20th jubilee,
These new tunes es were recorded at Escusalla Sonora, a new studio based in the Galician mountains directed by the band’s bass player Javi Vicalo and produced by Kino L-Cobra, as usual, and Javier Vicalo himself.
This one is the first of the aniversary 7" paying tribute to their homeland music. On the A side there is ‘Amar A Mares’ from the album ‘Espido’, written and recorded by Guadi Galego and Guillerme Fernández. This song was recorded by that fantastic duet in 2005 and, in this single, they transport it to Orange Street approaching to classic Ska sounds.
In the other side we can find ‘A Bruxa', an all time classic written by Antón Seoane and played by Milladoiro, (one of the most important tradicional Galician bands) originally released in the album ‘A Galicia De Maeloc’ (1980). Transilvanians takes this song to their own field adapting it into an instrumental roots reggae tune that, at some point, could sound like inspired by Rico Rodriguez’s ‘Man From Wareika’.
