Description
Second album of the dub project of the two ex-musicians from MOON INVADERS as vinyl only release.
NICO LEONARD was not only the drummer of MOON INVADERS until 2014, he is also co-owner of BADASONIC RECORDS, and also plays with the label bands REGGAE WORKERS OF THE WORLD and CAZ GARDINER & THE BADASONICS. The PUM PUM HOTEL studio is part of the connected microcosm, and this is exactly where LEONARD and MOON INVADERS guitarist PIERRE HAEGELI started experimenting with dub reggae shortly after the band had ended. After a short time the sparks jumped over, and layer by shift the two musicians recorded songs, first drums, then bass and guitar, later keyboards, and finally saxophone and trumpet by INVADERS colleagues DAVID LOOS and ROLF LANGSJOEN.
The first album, Dub Rocketry, was released on JUMP UP in 2016, and because things were going so well, the same line-up has continued ever since.
Shortly after BADASONIC RECORDS was founded, the recordings of these twelve songs began, which appear as 'Fire Cracker' with the subtitle 'Pum Pum Hotel Dub Sessions Vol.2'. Best fully analog seventies dub, of course all songs are original compositions.
