Description
As Beatlemania neared its peak, Jamaican music was in a transition phase that began with Ska, then turned into Rock Steady, and finally took its final form as Reggae.
Inevitably, these cultures collided, and artists like the Paragons and Marcia Griffiths started a tradition of dynamic reggae covers of Beatles hits that continues to this day.
First appearing on vinyl, The Reggae Specials continues that tradition with some black belted British reggae musicians embarking on a series of version forays of some of the Fab Four's most beloved bitter-sweet pieces. With the voice of reggae regulars singer Allan "Kingpin" King.
Comes on 180g vinyl
