Description
Debut 45 from explosive trio THE PRIVATES HAMMOND ORCHESTRA, ex Boogaloo Inv./Five Aces, along with noble bass-maestro Richard Anderson and multi-instrumentalist/songwriter extraordinaire Joe Kane on "I'm Sorry (Can I Please Come Home)", an uplifting ditty that ruminates on matters of the heart and that is included in the Soulshaker Volume 6 compilation.
Joe is a unique talent with a raft of solo and group projects under his own name and as member of The Owsley Sunshine with whom he recorded three acclaimed albums.
On the flip side is The Privates own "The Battle Of Yoker", a grinding titty shaker ode to standing in queue in a chipshop.
Both songs attest to the group's predilection for that 50's and 60's dancefloor sound of contagious rhythms and rockin' soul music that have gained them their reputation as a high energy band with a groove that makes the ladies wanna move. If this is what their first 45 sounds like, this group may have much to live up to!
