Description
Two scarce dancefloor cult classics on one clear coloured 7" the third release in Keb Darge's Uprising series on Ace Records (UPP 003).
A-side: Bobby Verne's "Red Hot Car," a sax-driven rockabilly thumper from 1962 on California's tiny Doc Holiday label. It was Verne's only recording, and originals now command serious collector prices.
Flip: Buddy Wayne's "Agent 007 Dance" (1965), his own lyrics on Gary Paxton's James Bond theme rendition, released on Big Ben, a label with just four records to its name. Forgotten for decades, it became the perfect stroller for the rockabilly scene, followed by northern soul and mod crowds.
Both sides on one 7" instead of chasing high priced originals – order your copy at Copasetic Mailorder.
