Mailorder service since 1999 – Altona, Hamburg (Germany)
Copasetic Mailorder was founded in 1999 in Aachen (Germany) / now located in Hamburg-Altona and has remained an independent one-person mailorder ever since.
What started as a personal passion for records has grown into a long-running, carefully maintained mailorder focused on vinyl culture, DJ sounds, and collector-oriented music.
Everything here is run hands-on: from selection and stocking to packing and shipping. No warehouse system, no faceless structure—just one person working with records every day.
What I focus on
The selection is built around styles I personally love and have been digging for years:
- 60s & 70s Ska
- Rocksteady & Reggae
- Rhythm & Blues & Soul
- Garage & Mod sounds
- Rock’n’Roll & Rockabilly
- Psychobilly & Neo-Rockabilly
- and other related sounds I genuinely dig
The focus is mainly on vinyl records, selected with DJs, collectors, and sound system culture in mind.

No shortcuts, no mass automation—just consistent work with music I believe in.
What does “Copasetic” mean?
The name Copasetic reflects the mindset behind it:
- In Jamaican Patois, it can mean “everything is cool”
- It is also a Rocksteady tune by The Rulers (1966), produced by Sir JJ Johnson
Both meanings fit the idea behind this mailorder: good music, good vibes, no nonsense.
