Posiblemente el mejor productor de discos jamaiquino de todos los tiempos, Lee "Scratch" Perry fue fundamental en la transformación del sonido nacional de la isla durante los años sesenta y setenta, con su enfoque único en la creación musical que llevó la música más allá de los límites previamente percibidos.
Para conmemorar el primer aniversario de su fallecimiento, lo mejor de su trabajo se exhibe en una serie de productos, todos los cuales demuestran efectivamente por qué Perry fue una figura ampliamente venerada durante tanto tiempo...
El DELUXE BOX SET incluye cuatro LP de vinilo y cuatro CD con sus grabaciones más conocidas e influyentes, entre las que se incluyen una mezcla inédita del potente "Police And Thieves" de Junior Murvin, el éxito de las listas británicas "Hurt So Good" de Susan Cadogan y el clásico de reggae del jefe de los Upsetters "Return Of Django", así como numerosos éxitos jamaicanos importantes.
El conjunto también incluye un libro totalmente ilustrado de 50 páginas , escrito por el biógrafo oficial de Scratch, David Katz , que incluye una serie de fotografías del célebre fotógrafo Adrian Boot, y un póster a todo color de 24” x 24” de dos caras de nuevo diseño.
