Descripción
6 July 1976. The 100 Club, London. The Damned play their very first live show — supporting the Sex Pistols — and someone in the crowd has a Sony cassette recorder hidden in a sports bag. What came out of that Scotch 120 tape is this: the birth of British punk captured in real time, lo-fi, immediate, and completely unfiltered. Every chord crackles with the electricity of a scene on the verge of exploding. This is not a polished archive release — it's a time capsule, and that's exactly what makes it irreplaceable.
Reissued by Radiation Reissues (RRS226) in April 2026 on vinyl, where it belongs.
Essential for punk historians, Damned devotees, and anyone who understands that some recordings matter not because of their fidelity, but because of what they witnessed.
New vinyl. Available now at Copasetic Mailorder.
