Born Dwight A. Pullen, March 5, 1931 in Blountsville (Alabama), Dwight Pullen debuted at Delta Records in 1956, under the name of Whitey Pullen. But he was best known as the road manager of Gene Vincent in 1959. He was the presenter of the Red Barn (Anchorage, Alaska) in 1956. He recorded some great Rockabilly and Country for the Sage label, but is best known for his Rockabilly classic "Sunglasses After Dark" for Carlton Records.
