Description
The Sound Barrier’s “(My) Baby’s Gone” / “Hey, Hey” returns as its first official reissue on Guerssen (GUESSSG011), limited to 357 numbered copies.
Formed by junior high school friends in Salem during the British Invasion, the band developed through earlier lineups called The Spectrums and The Zounds. Guitarist Paul Hess and drummer Larry Davis helped shape the group that released these recordings on its own Zounds label in 1967.
The driving garage attack of “Hey, Hey” pairs with the infectious “(My) Baby’s Gone”, making this a compelling double-sider for ’60s garage collectors and DJs digging beyond the familiar classics.
This 45 RPM edition comes in a textured picture sleeve, with a black inner bag and stickered plastic outer sleeve. A chance to explore a scarce independent garage single without chasing an original, presented with the attention to detail collectors appreciate.
