Description
O & Shea’s Into the Sun pairs dreamy pop with psychedelic atmosphere, drawing on the worlds of Lee Hazlewood, Mazzy Star and the Hoodoo Gurus. This European edition presents all 12 tracks on yellow marbled vinyl through Rockbox Recordings and Dangerhouse Skylab (DSL 128), following the short-run Rockbox release of 2025.
The husband-and-wife duo brings together Shea Roberts, whose background includes Richmond Sluts, Big Midnight and Brian Jonestown Massacre, and O, also of Rain Party. Their songs move between evocative ballads, melodic guitar pop and touches of French Swinging Mademoiselle charm.
Peter Koppes of The Church contributes guitar and a song, adding another reason for psych-pop collectors to investigate. For listeners drawn to intimate duets, hazy melodies and vintage pop sensibilities, Into the Sun is a rewarding addition to the record shelf, with a distinctive coloured-vinyl presentation.
