Description
Eddie Piller, legendary founder of the Acid Jazz label, looks back at his Mod roots for the first time, a journey to the influences and bands of the late 70s / early 80s Mod revival.
In 1979, he found himself at the center of the Mod Revival. He was a DJ, founded various Mod fanzines, worked for Stiff Records, had a record store and the Blue Note Nightclub, founded Acid Jazz Records, put together compilations and is still active as a DJ and on the radio.
Eddie Piller has been one of the legendary figures of the British music scene for 40 years. In the late 70s, for those too young for punk, Mod was a community of concerts, scooters, stylish clothes, bands and records. Without bands like The Jam, Brit Pop bands like Oasis or Blur would have been unthinkable.
This 2LP set Part 2 is once again his personal tribute to the Mod explosion of the late 70s / 80s, from the classic influences, to 60s soul / R&B, to the bands of the Mod Revival
Comes in BLUE and RED vinyl. Incl. detailed liner notes!
