Rare Soul Sides: Washington D.C. 1965-1967

Shrine Records was an American soul and R&B record label based in Washington, D.C. It was founded in 1964 by its main songwriter Eddie Singleton, among others. From 1964 to 1967, Shrine released a total of twenty vinyl 45 singles with forty different tracks. Shrine's stock of unsold records was destroyed in a warehouse fire in 1968 during the Martin Luther King assassination riots. As a result, very few Shrine records survive today and are highly sought after by collectors. In addition to the released material, a small catalog of tracks by various artists was recorded by Shrine but never released, although much of this previously unreleased material was rediscovered and released on various newer labels such as Kent / Ace Records.

The limited edition box set now features seven selected 7inch singles from 1965-67.

Disc 2: 01 Mind In A Bind - The Epsilons 02  Mad At The World - The Epsilons
